Mrs. Collins holds a special place in my heart. She was one of my favorite teachers - ever! She taught her classes many things, but most of all she loved all her students, and we knew it. I remember that she always knew when you were having a rough day, and never failed to make it a better one. Thank you, Mrs. Collins, for all you taught me, and especially for setting the bar for what kind of a teacher I wanted to be.

In addition to the lasting legacy and gift to planet earth that she has left in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Betty shared with me her vast knowledge, honesty, support and love in her later years. She was my aunt, the last stalwart of our family's previous generation. How much I treasure the time I spent with her and the wisdom I gained. My heart smiles that, while those who remain here have lost an irreplaceable matriarch, Betty is now reunited in heaven with Jack, Suzie, and others whom she loved so dearly.
