Susan Lyman

Susan Doelle Lyman went to be with her Lord unexpectedly at the young age of 58 on July 12, 2020 in Port St. Lucie, FL.  Susan was born on October 18, 1961, in Grand Rapids, MI to William Henry Doelle and Jeanne Marie Spence.  She attended East Grand Rapids High School and continued her studies at Lansing Community College where she received her associate degree in Radiology.  Growing up Susan loved playing with her cousins, soaking up the sunlight on the beach at her home in Sault St. Marie, MI and being part of the East Grand Rapids High School Band.  She was a strong, loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend who was a devoted Saints and LSU Tiger football fan.  Her favorite hobbies were gardening, cooking, volunteering, and taking care of her loved ones.  Her deeply adored grandbabies called her Nanna. She will forever be remembered for her selfless acts of kindness, devotion to the the Lord, her laugh, and  beautiful smile.  She is survived by her husband Robert Lyman, stepson Foster, mother Jeanne Spence, sons Steven (Jessica) Tanis, David (Catherine) Tanis, grandchildren William, Adelina and James, mother in law Genie Lyman, brothers and sister in laws, Richard (Laura), Michael, John (Paula) Lyman, Katherine (John) Belanger, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her cat Jinx.  She was predeceased by her father William Henry Dolle, and grandparents Thomas and Alice Harriman.  A private family service will be held.
