Robert "Bob" "Jack" Jackson Hartsell

Robert "Bob" "Jack" Hartsell, age 71, of Bitely, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023.  Bob was born in Grand Rapids on October 16, 1951.  He graduated from Rogers High School in 1969.  Following High School, he served in the National Guard.  Bob was a kind and loving dad and grandpa who dearly loved his family.  He had a strong work ethic and retired from Spartan Stores after 33 years.  Many will remember Bob for his love of sports (U of M and Detroit) and his love of hunting.  He was preceded in death by his father Bill Hartsell and mother Talitha Orr.  He is survived by his children, Becky Bockheim (Matt), Jamie Bunting (Robert), Jeff Hartsell (Amanda), grandchildren: Haylee, Jordyn, Evelyn, Jeffrey, Benjamin and Abby.  Siblings: Jim Hartsell (Lori), Larry Hartsell (Judy), Jenny Hartsell Weber, and stepmother Joyce Hartsell.  The family will receive friends at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday January 29th, with funeral services being held at 11:00 am on Monday January 30th at the funeral home.  Contributions in memory of Robert, can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
