Richard Smith Obituary

Richard "Jack" Smith, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis and their son, Kevin. Jack's eldest son, Rick, and youngest daughter, Mary, preceded him in death. Also surviving are Jack's other children, Rodney, Cindy, Ronald, Kathleen, Karri, Cherri, Richard Jr. and Rex; their children and grandchildren. His brother, Rex (Judy), and sister, Renee (Jerry) Schultz, and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was an avid fisherman, starting as a young boy with a can of worms, and progressing to many Walleye tournaments. His second love was hunting, and several deer regret his abilities. He also did enjoy bowling and golf. Jack was retired for many years following a 28 year career at Amway. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Many thanks to Interim Hospice for the tender care they provided over the past several weeks. As was his wish, cremation will occur. No funeral is planned.
