Lucille Gayle (Fleming) Baldwin

Lucille Gayle (Fleming) Baldwin passed peacefully in her home on May 10th, 2023.

Lucille was a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan at the time of her death. She was born in Flint, Michigan May 23, 1933 to Robert James Fleming and Lillian Ann Dullinger Fleming.

Lucille did many things throughout her life including working at Buick as a typist, being a homemaker, and also working in the Flushing school district as a cook in the kitchen. She enjoyed going on casino trips with friends.

Lucille was survived by her husband Mark Baldwin, her children Mark, Mitch (Jessica), and Margo, and her grandchildren Norman and Sam. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including special niece Georgann and Eldon Lurvey, as well as many friends including the Faber family, the Carlson family, Chris and Earl Lisee, and the Canaday family (for their help and guidance). The family would also like to thank the staff at Heather Hills for their support through this difficult time.  

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, her 6 sisters, and one brother.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home located at 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. For those wishing to make a contribution, those can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Lucille’s name.
