Lora Meyers Obituary

Lora Jane Mary Francis Veronica Mitchell Meyers was born on the 12th day of June 1945 to Edward and Angela Mitchell in Youngstown, OH.

On October 8th, 2020 she was reunited with husband William E. Meyers, mother Angela Mitchell, sister Mary Wood, special father figure uncle, Joseph Macheski, and close family friends John and Norma Andrews.

Lora was raised and educated within the Catholic faith, fulfilling every sacrament up to her last breath. She graduated from St Ursula Academy.  The Ursula nuns, along with her amazing mother and extended family all nurtured her and contributed to her becoming the unique, special and successful woman that made this world a better place.

As a teenager she worked at her family's restaurant and led parades in Toledo as a majorette.  Lora was incredibly intelligent naturally, and business classes at Toledo University & St Thomas the Aquinas further added to her brilliant ability to see how she could best contribute to the world around her.

Lora lived her life believing and teaching her offspring that “humbleness” is one’s greatest quality.  She owned her first business at age 20 then later helped to create and co-found a 2nd generation, soon-to-be, 3rd generation family corporation.

Lora was known and respected by many in her community as well as her industry, dedicating her life to both.  She raised her three daughters with the same standards of integrity, which have directly contributed to the foundation of their individual successes.

The life lessons and standards of this extraordinary woman will live on for generations to come by: Ashlee (Travis) DeJohn, Leslie Mehney and Rene’ (Sean) Growney; Seven grandchildren, Keegan, Connor, Reed, Riley, Ryann, Ella and Eden.

Her wittiness, sense of style and sincere charm will live in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers please Google the oldie but goodie Christopher Cross song ”Think of Laura;” following the message in that song would be the only wishes of her family.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held.
