Lilo (Lee) Adams, (Abraitis), passed-away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at home surrounded by her children, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. Lilo was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald L. (Ron) Adams, and loving grandson, Daniel Knape. She is survived by her children, Craig Adams (Kelly), Chris Knape (Don), Tracy Adams and Stephanie Trapp (Daniel), 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lilo was born on November 11, 1937 in Kolberg, Germany. Lee could remember holding her mother, Hildegard Abraitis’ hand as they left Germany, bound for the United States in 1948 along with her step-father, Eugene Albraitis. Lee grew up in Saginaw, Michigan where she met her husband, Ron Adams. They moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where they raised their family. She and Ron enjoyed travelling and most of all, time spent with family and friends. Lee, “Nana” to her grandchildren, had a special place in her heart for all her grandchildren including Erich Adams, Karl Adams (Allison), Aaron Adams (Lauren), and Elinor Adams (fiancée Jeff), Nathan Jacobson (Sophia), Erik Jacobson (Amanda), Emma Jacobson, Meghan Runion (Garrett), Austin Knape, Andra Trapp, NickTrapp (Mackenzie), Michael Trapp, Alex Trapp and her 8 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at St. Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada Dr. S.E., 49301, Ada, Michigan. A Rosary will be recited prior to the Mass at 10:30 a.m. Due to Covid requirements, the church’s capacity is 300 and there is no need to sign-up in advance. The Mass will also be live-streamed at https://youtu.be/LshOvPrMspg In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Foundation for Catholic Secondary Education.
