Julie M. Wolf

Julie Mulnix Wolf, age 81, passed away on March 9, 2023, at Provision Living – Senior Living Community.  She is survived by Her husband of 57 years, Peter; her children Cynthia Sheppard (Robert) and David Wolf (Michelle); her grandchildren Connor Sheppard, Camille Sheppard, Brendan Sheppard, Bella Wolf, and Annalise Wolf; her sister Cynthia Conway.  She was preceded in death by her brother Lee Mulnix, and her grandson Gordon Wolf. 

Julie was born January 8, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She grew up in East Grand Rapids, graduating from East Grand Rapids High School, attended Michigan State University, and University of Arizona.  She graduated from the University of Arizona.  Julie was an exceptionally devoted Grandmother and had a love for children.  She worked as a teacher for young children both in Tucson, Arizona, and Grand Rapids.  Julie always supported her children’s activities while growing up.  She continued to do this with her grandchildren. 

She was the champion and coordinator for Mayflower Church’s involvement with Interfaith Hospitality Network, helping and housing homeless families within the Church.  On the Board of the Baldwin Foundation, Julie worked to establish a program for Building Opportunities for Networking and Discovery (BOND) for Autistic students at Michigan State University.  Julie was also instrumental in the starting of Connor’s Friends at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum; a night designated for children and families affected by autism.  Julie was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed walking her beloved Brittany around the neighborhood.  She enjoyed the company of three different Brittanys throughout her life.  Morgan, Abbey, and Mollie in succession.  Mollie will miss her.  Julie was very special to many people. 

Please join the family for a memorial service to celebrate Julie’s life at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Road, on Friday, March 17, 2023.  Visitation in the Church Atrium at 10:00 a.m., service following at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to remember Julie may be sent to North Shore Animal League America.
