David Harrison Tasker (Bear) age 19 of East Grand Rapids was taken peacefully from all who loved him on November 15, 2020. Harrison was born on April 13, 2001 to his loving parents Anne and Tom Tasker. Harrison attended East Grand Rapids Public Schools K-12 and will forever be remembered as a member of the graduating class of 2020.
Harrison enjoyed fishing, gaming, sports, and especially hanging out with his friends and pets. Harrison shared a love of the University of Michigan with his family.. They watched and attended many games over the years. When faced with physical challenges Harrison persevered. He would attend every East Grand Rapids football game as a shirted player, rain or shine, to support his school. Through Make-A-Wish Harrison was able to attend the 2019 Masters.
People close to Harrison described him as happy, inspirational, courageous, strong, fighter, fearless, a beast, and a hero. His humor was contagious, his kindness was infectious, and his courage was unmeasurable. After losing his twin brother and best friend in March, Harrison never gave up. He continued to give strength to those around him.
In his final hours Harrison was able to tell his family and friends how much he loved them and was ready to be in heaven, reunited with his brother and best friend Chase. The life lessons and impact that he gave to others will live on forever.
Harrison is survived by his loving parents Anne and Tom, best big brother Tanner, grandmother Carol Tasker, grandmother Mary Stickney (Murzie), aunt and uncle Jon and Sarah Stickney. Harrison will join brother Chase, grandfather David Stickney (Train-Pa), grandfather Donald Tasker (Oatmeal Pa), and Uncle John Tasker. He leaves behind his closest friends and companions Wrigley, Irwin, and Skylar.
He will be deeply missed by all. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be mailed to:
