Ernst F. Nitzsche

Ernst F Nitzsche age 85 of Caledonia, MI passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020.  Ernst was born in Dresden, Germany on January 23, 1935 to Clemens and Ilse Nitzsche.  He came to the US in 1965 and was a talented commercial artist for Gantos and Rogers Department Stores. Ernst was the loving brother of Jurgen (Christine) Nitzsche, the late Horst (Erika) Nitzsche, and the late Ursula (Volker) Markowski. Ernst was also a dear uncle to his nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the staff at Porter Hills and Emmanuel Hospice for their loving care for Ernst during the past 2 months.

A memorial visitation will be held in honor of Ernst on Friday, June 26 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
