Edward T. Vermurlen

Edward T. Vermurlen passed away on Friday March 15, 2024 at the age of 78.  He was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on November 8, 1945 to the late Jacob and Mildred Vermurlen.  Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 55 years Ruth Vermurlen, sister Mary (Rich) Marod, brother Charles (Marylou) Vermurlen and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother Jake (Judy) Vermurlen. 

Ed spent his career as an architect.  He was a former President of the American Institute of Architects.  He was also a devoted member of Calvary Church and enjoyed his time with the 724 Bible Study Group.  He was a loving husband, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. 

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11am on Thursday April 11, 2024 at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 with visitation at the church from 10-11am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Church Benevolent Fund.
