Donald G. Hassberger

Donald G. Hassberger age 94 passed away October 13, 2021.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 22,1927 to Clifton and Edna Hassberger.  He went to high school in Detroit and in Vincennes, Indiana.  In January 1945 he was drafted into the Army.   He served in the artillery in Germany with the rank of Tech-Sergeant.  He graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1950, where he met his wife of 68 years, Ellen (Alberda).  He established the Keldon Company in 1957.  Donald was president of Green Ridge Country Club and was the Construction Coordinator of Egypt Valley Country Club during it’s construction.  He was proceeded in death by his wife in 2019.  He is survived by his children Kurt Hassberger (Madelon) and Elizabeth Clements (Earl), grandchildren, Rebecca Bird (Scott), Eric Hassberger (Andrea), Kelly Peterson (Charlie), great grandchildren, Mya and Westin Bird, Isla, Blaire and Elle Hassberger.  Donation may be made to any animal rescue organization.
