Beverly Byram Obituary

Beverly Louise Byram passed away on Tuesday October 20, 2020 at the age of 90. Beverly was born on April 3, 1930 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Richard Van Bos and Myrtle Booth Bos. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Hal Richard Byram and his wife Julie Hale-Byram, Norman Steven Byram IV, her grandchildren Emily Byram Emeott and her husband Brandon Emeott, Norman Steven and Marcus Munoz, Brock and Gabe Tagg, nephew Sean, niece Jennifer, many great grandchildren, and so many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Steven Byram III, her daughter Viola Mary Byram, her brothers Jack Bos, Richard Bos and her sister Mary Ellen Bos. Bev was incredibly creative, with hobbies included knitting, crocheting, baking and canning. She loved making hats for the newborn babies for the hospitals where she donated them. She loved sports and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Lions and the Red Wings. She so enjoyed being part of the Local Senior Center, where she volunteered when possible and loved the relationships she developed with the many friends she had there. Bev is remembered working as a waitress at the Schnitzelbank Restaurant in Grand Rapids for 35 years until her retirement in 2005 at the age of 75. Everyone Bev served has fond memories of their time spent with her. She was even once named and honored as the waitress of the year by the Michigan Magazine. Bev deeply loved her family, friends and neighbors. The neighbors have said that she was the mom of the neighborhood...she was always giving, thoughtful, and loved by all. She is and will be forever missed. Memorial contributions in Beverly's name may be made to Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids MI.
