Silvija Rowe

Silvija (Klovans) Rowe passed away peacefully at her home in Hartland, MI July 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She courageously fought Parkinson’s to the end, for 27 years.  Born in Riga, Latvia in 1944 immigrated to the US with her parents and brother in 1951.  Beloved wife of Richard for 54 years, dear mother of son, Adam and daughter, Kamiron (William) Kentish.  Loving grandmother of Kinley and Karigan Pierce.  Also survived by her sister Inara Klovans and brother Juris (Linda) Klovans of Dallas, Texas and several nieces and nephews.  She and Richard were former members of Park Congregational Church in Grand Rapids before moving to Northville, MI in 1985.  She attended South High School, Grand Rapids Junior College and Ferris State.  Silvija’s memorial will be held at 1pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday July 23, 2019.  A receiving of friends will begin at 11am until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
