Ruth E. (Mieras) Raiman

Ruth E. Mieras Raiman, age 85, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her home. Ruth was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, daughter of John and Grace Mieras. She graduated from Creston High School, class of 1951. She entered Blodgett Nursing School where she worked as a surgical nurse. Ruth was very active in serving at the Women’s City Club of Grand Rapids. She particularly enjoyed the creative arranging of flowers. On May 8, 1976 she was united in marriage to Dr. Robert J. Raiman who preceded her in death on October 28, 1997. She is survived by three brothers, Laurence Mieras (Ruth), Norman Mieras (Barbara), James Mieras (Cheryl); step-son, Dr. Paul J. Raiman (Cheryl); step-daughter, Gail Raiman Hynes (Bob). Also surviving are three grandchildren, fourteen nieces and nephews, and eleven great-nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Chapel from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 5th.  where memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Christian Schools Foundation of Grand Rapids.
