Our sincere love and best wishes to the entire family. John was such a positive influence on the faculty and students of the Physical Therapy program at Grand Valley State University during his final years of work. We were tremendously blessed to have him on our faculty. We learned of John's passing while on vacation and regret that we were not in town for the services. Nonetheless, we were and are remembering John and his family in our prayers.

I had the great privilege of having John as a professor at GVSU. He was such a kind man with a warm, contagious smile and always a sharp dresser with his pumas. He had such a fascinating journey with so much wisdom to share with all of us, and we were so lucky to be able to have him share it with us. John made a big impact on my life along with many other students and colleagues. My heart aches with hearing of his passing and he will surely be missed. I hope love and comfort of family and friends and the many great memories of his amazing life help bring peace to those you are hurting.

Linda and Family,
Our sympathy to all of you in John's passing. Initially we came together through hospital business and from there our relationship grew on a daily basis. As I transitioned into the GNA world, John was my contact...personally and professionally. There were many long nights when I would be traveling back to the East side of the state and my car phone would ring....my friend John checking to see if I was awake, safe and OK. We travelled together, worked together, did consulting projects together and loved to play golf together.
My world was better because of John. Today our world is saddened because of his passing.

Kind, gentle, wise and caring are words that come to the minds of those of us in the College of Health Professions - Student Services who were blessed to know him. We are grateful that we got to know him - - - if even only for a snippet of his 75 years.

So sorry to here about John, Linda. Gary Allen told me he was ill when we saw him in Florida and you've been in our prayers. I remember how you and John met. Kind of a fairy tale because he lived right down the street from you. (I hope I have the story right) Hugs and prayers for you and your family.
