James Bull

Bull, James Robert of Grand Rapids, MI., owner of Oakhill Floral, passed away May 17, 2019 after a lengthy illness.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Helen Elizabeth (McCann) and daughter Dorothy Bull.  Surviving are his daughters Janet (Al) Thomas of ADA and Susan (Fritz) Sterns of East Grand Rapids, grandchildren Peter, Brian (Jacqueline), James and Thomas (Jenna), great grandchildren Zoey, Sadie and Fritz, and his brothers Jack and Bill (Denise) Bull.  Jim was born February 7, 1919 in Detroit MI to Clarence and Grace (Jiggens) Bull.  He had served in the Army as a Captain during WWII for six years in the South Pacific.  Jim was a member of the Masonic Temple, Shriners and part of the Oriental Band and active with the Y’s men international.  He and his wife Helen were life long members of Grace Church.  Memorial services will be held for James and Helen Bull on June 13, 2019, 1:00 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 1815 Hall St. SE East Grand Rapids, MI 49506, with a visitation ½ hour before service time.  For those desiring memorial contribution can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Michigan Chapter.
