Grace Ann Clark of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday August 13, 2018 at the age of 85. Grace was born in Shorewood, Wisconsin to the late Alfred and Erla Matter. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Edward Clark. She is also survived by her sister, Gloria Matter, daughters Anne (Kevin) Kruger, Susan (Glenn) Shelton, Mary (Michael) Cook; grandchildren, Jason (Kristy) Kruger, Laurie (Dan) Bullerman, Kathryn (Daniel) Packham, Bruce Shelton, Stephen, Caroline, Matthew, Anna, and John Cook; great-grandchildren Jack and Miles Bullerman and baby (March),and Emma and Abigail Packham.
She was trained as an oral communication teacher of the deaf, and taught at Sigsbee Elementary School for several years.
Grace loved her family and was happiest when everyone was all together. She loved the Lord and devoted her adult life to the study and teaching of the Scriptures, teaching a class for deaf students, being a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship and leading a class at her church.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, at 10: 00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 100 Packard Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Visitation will be held at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Friday August 17 from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Grace’s name may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or Bible Study Fellowship, International.
