Edward S. Fritsma

Edward “Fritz” Simon Fritsma, age 92 went to be with his Lord on Sunday July 28, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Nellie (Murray) Fritsma and brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Julie Fritsma.  Fritz is survived by his wife of 69 years Gertrude “Trudy” Fritsma, children Bruce (Meegan) Fritsma, Barb (Mark) Dobbs, Deb (Rick) Start, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many in laws, nieces and nephews.  Fritz was a member of the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country during WWII.  A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Calvary Church Chapel at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday July 31, 2019.  Friends and relatives may meet his family at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8pm.  Memorial contributions in Fritz’s memory may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
