Edgar S. Lamm

Edgar S. Lamm, age 94, of Grand Rapids and a former resident of Beacon Hill @ Eastgate, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Edgar was born in Chicago, IL on October 14,1925 the son of Samuel and LaVina (Schwab) Lamm. For 35 years he was a sales representative M&M Mars Inc. He was a member of Golden K. Kiwanis Club; a volunteer of the Kentwood Police Department for 18 years; a Kentwood Library volunteer for 15 years and a Circle Theater Volunteer. He was a member of East Church  since 1958. He served his country with the U.S. Army in Central Europe and in the Rhineland during World War II. Edgar was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Norma T. Lamm, on October 18, 2014 and by his daughter, Lisa C. Seeley, on December 17, 2014. Surviving are his son, Brook Lamm; grandchildren, Melissa Lamm, Brett (Merritt) Lamm; great-granddaughter, Lilah Peterson, and son-in-law, Tom Seeley. A memorial service will be held at East Church, 1005 Giddings Ave. Grand Rapids at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12th.   Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery   In lieu of flowers memorials to East Church  is suggested.
