Robert Allen Burkhardt

Robert Burkhardt, beloved husband, father, pops, uncle and brother was called home by his Lord and Savior to join his mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law and many other family members on September 27th,2022 at the age of 64. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Sue), daughter, Jennifer, son, William (Laura) grandsons, Lucas and Liam, sister Susan, brothers, John (Janis), Tom (Cheryl), Greg (Lori), and David (Barbara) and numerous nephews and nieces.

Rob had a very successful career as a business owner and sales executive spanning 48 years hallmarked by his relentless work ethic and infectious congeniality. He was admired by all of his colleagues. Rob enjoyed the Great Lakes, golfing, and creating solutions in his immaculate garage.  What he most enjoyed however, was spending time with Sue, his wife, best friend and loving companion of 39 years. Helping others was an essential part of Rob’s life and his inspirational spirit of giving will continue to live on forever in our hearts.

A funeral service will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service in Grand Rapids, MI on Wednesday October 12th at 11 am with visitation at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Smile Train at https://www.smiletrain.org/
