Dorothy A. Britcher

Dorothy A. Britcher, who filled her family’s life with sunshine, entered into the joys of Heaven on July 28, 2021, at the age of 85.

Dorothy is survived by the love of her life, husband Eric Britcher, her children Curtis (Vicky), Cheryl, Dina and Eric B. (Thuy), and the grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her pure joy.

Just like the sun, Dorothy brought light and welcoming warmth to all who knew her.  She was a discerning soul, anticipating needs, nurturing and helping any and all, and loving deeply.

A celebration of her Promotion to Glory will be held Saturday, July 31, at 11:00 am at Mayflower Congregational Church in East Grand Rapids.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Dorothy to Degage Ministries at www.degageministries.org.  Degage offers help and hope to the homeless and disadvantaged of Grand Rapids.  It was co-founded by Dorothy’s husband in 1967, and both he and Dorothy continued to volunteer there into their retirement.
