Kai B. Fitz

Kai Benedikt Fitz, 15 of East Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon from a recently discovered brain tumor. He was kind-hearted, compassionate, and thoughtful. Kai improved the lives of many around him and will forever be remembered for his positivity and love for life.

Kai will always be in the memories of his parents Sabine and Dale Fitz, sister Kyra, grandparents Helen and Don Fitz, Helga and Harald Schmidt, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Kai’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 25 from 2-5pm at the Grand Rapids Yacht Club, 740 Lakeside Drive, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506 with a short service at 2:30pm. 

Kai loved art and animals, specifically turtles, and donations can be made in Kai’s name to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and to the Sea Turtle Conservancy. Envelopes will be available at the service for donations to be made.
