JOSEPH N. RAMAGE of Taylor and Cascade Michigan passed away on June 30, 2015.  Joe was born March 17, 1928 in Greenville Ky.   At the age of 20, Joe moved to Detroit where he was employed for 42 years at the Cadillac division of General Motors where he retired as a supervisor in final car shipping.  He served as a First lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War.  After serving his country, Joe attended Wayne State University and earned his degree in Business Administration.  Throughout his life he was involved in volunteer work with Eastside Ministries in Detroit, Boulevard Temple Methodist Retirement and Nursing home, and Junior Achievement.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mary “Wilma” (Evitts), son Lee (Mary Jane), daughter Susan (Jeff Walson), six grandchildren; (Christian, Nolan and Violet Ramage, Jacob, Lauren, and Allison Walson), sister Eula Hankins, and many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 11:00 am at Stephens United Methodist Church, 5000 Pelham, Dearborn Heights MI.  The family would like to thank the Kent County Honor Guard and express their deep appreciation to the caring staff at Sunrise Senior Living of Cascade MI as well as the compassionate, helpful staff of Hospice of Michigan.  Please consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association and Hospice of Michigan.
