Harald Guensche

Harald (Harry) Guensche, age 53, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and formerly of Jasper, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 5, 2015.  Harry was born in Arzberg, Germany on April 21, 1962. He graduated with a Masters of Engineering in Germany and came to the United States in 1995 to work with Leitz Tooling. He became the Director of Technical Sales for Leitz. Harry is survived by his father and mother, Walter and Gertraud Guensche of Marktredwitz, Germany; his wife, Gabriele (Gabi) and their three children, Nora (17), Kilian (14) and Bennett (13) who attend Forest Hills Northern Schools. The family will receive friends at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, there has been a children’s education fund set up at Huntington Bank in Grand Rapids with additional information available at the funeral home.
