Earl "Jack" Judson Barger

Earl “Jack” Judson Barger, age 72, of East Grand Rapids joyfully went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jud and Effie Barger. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Susan Barger, his daughters, Rebecca Barger, Deborah Rodriquez and Jillian (Rob) Berger. He meant the world to his grandchildren, Jacob and Livvie Berger. Missing Jack is his sister Kathy (Ken) Dahnke as well as his cousins, his nieces and nephew, extended family, the family he married into, and his wonderful friends. Jack had four great loves in his life: God, his family, his church and his pharmaceutical career. Jack persevered for the last ten years of his life with Parkinson’s but enjoyed his life fully. In the last year of his life he was loved and cared for by his caregivers, Michelle and Colleen. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday 11am at Cascade Christian Church with a luncheon following. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Cascade Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan or Cascade Christian Church.
