Dennis L. Gillett

Dennis L. Gillett, age 65, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Gillett and his grandson, Leland Gillett; his parents, Clayton and Clarissa Gillett, and one brother, Victor Gillett. Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia; his children, Sheila Gillett, Michelle (Jeff) Romano, and Jason (Stefanie) Gillett; eight grandchildren, Logan, Alicia, Karlee, Josie, Cole, Connor, Kenzie and Flynn and his brother, Kirk (Ramona) Gillett. Dennis was an avid Michigan State University fan, loved playing golf and spending time at the gun range. His most enjoyable hours though, was the family time he had, especially around the pool. Friends may meet the family from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15th, at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Chapel and for one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral chapel on Thursday, November 16th.  Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. For those who wish memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Lettinga Cancer Center of Spectrum Health.
