Betty Jane Sada Malfroid

Betty Jane Sada (Richard) Malfroid, 77, mother, friend, and grandmother from Lowell, MI, passed away July 24th, 2016 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center due to complications with adenocarcinoma.  Betty was born in Remus Michigan on November 16th, 1938 to Samuel and Donna Richard.   Betty ran an adult foster care home in Lowell, MI for 20 years.   She provided wonderful care for her residents at her Forest River home.  Upon retirement, Betty moved to Schneider Manor in Lowell.  Betty enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and especially with her grandson Owen.  Betty is survived by her sister Beverly (Samm Edelman) Richard, N. Little Rock, AR, daughters Kimberly (Tom) Lockery, Tucson, AZ, Toni (Richard) Stodden, Monument, CO, Beverly (Tracy) Nies, Grand Rapids, MI,  her four grandchildren, Karen (Lester) Herrera, Kris, Kali, Owen, and 5 great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on July 28, 2016 from 11am until 2pm.  Graveside services to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice Trillium Woods, 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315.
